Four-year-old boy: “I’m going to give a speech as the Mayor of Kiddie Land.”
Mother across table: “Do you mean Mayor or President of Kiddie Land.”
Boy: “I’m going to give a speech.”
Mother: “If you give a speech, that means you’re delivering a speech.”
Boy: “Do you want to hear what my speech says?”
Mother: Silence . . .
Boy: “Greetings All Kiddies!!!”
Mother: A laugh, and then exuberant applause.
